Dr. J’Nelle Delica is a Board Certified Periodontist and Implant Surgeon, a designation reserved for the highest trained specialists in her field. She remains active in local and national dental organizations, serving as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Delica recently opened Delicate Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, a boutique practice in Wellington, Florida. While passionate about all areas of periodontics, she especially enjoys soft tissue surgeries, procedures to support implant dentistry, and collaboration on large cases with colleagues.
Dr. Delica was born and raised in South Florida. She decided on pursuing a career in dentistry at the age of 13. To this end she attended Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Chemistry minor.
Dr. Delica then studied at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors; she simultaneously completed her Master of Public Health at Harvard. Upon completion of dental school, she returned to South Florida for specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Delica donates time to service, participating in local health fairs and opportunities to educate communities on the importance of oral health. As a first generation Jamaican-American, she has strong cultural ties to the homeland of her parents. During her studies, she partnered with the Jamaican Ministry of Health to educate families about early childhood caries. She currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of West Indies Dental School in Kingston, Jamaica.
